We use the da Vinci Surgical System at Halifax Health Medical Center. This allows us to do many different minimally invasive operations. Your surgeon is 100% in control of the robot, but the robotic system allows precise movements, with enhanced 3D vision and improved dexterity.

Anti-reflux Surgery

Patients with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), heartburn and swallowing disorders are often treated with medications. We will work closely with your referring physician, your imaging center, as well as Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s Cancer Institute and Halifax Health – Center for Oncology to accurately diagnose your condition, whether benign or cancerous.

Colon Surgery

This type of surgery addresses conditions of the colon typically caused by diverticulitis and cancer. We frequently are able to do laparoscopic colon surgery in many of our patients. Because of our minimally invasive laparoscopic approach, many patients are discharged only a few days following the surgery.
